She is degreed in both nursing and psychology and has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health care She previously served as the Director of the Keystone Center ECU in Chester, Pennsylvania. She was also Founder and Director of their Professional Assessment Center and has considerable experience facilitating recovery for health care providers and clergy.

Specializes in cognitive behavior and mindfulness-based therapies for adolescents and adults; has received intensive training in dialectical behavior therapy and has worked on adapting materials to special populations. She is currently conducting classes in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for which she has been endorsed by the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Center for Mindfulness.
