Premier Training Organizations Converge to offer
Accredited National Conferences for Addictions/Behavioral Health Professionals
San Diego, Ca -- The Institute for Integral Development, which has offered high quality professional training experiences for addictions/health professionals since 1977, has been acquired by U.S. Journal Training, Inc. The announcement was made by USJT President Peter Vegso and Institute Director Dan Barmettler at the Annual Leadership Conference of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers.
U.S. Journal and U.S. Journal Training, Inc are leaders in the mental health, addictions, and behavioral health fields for over 31 years with periodicals (COUNSELOR Magazine) and over 250 professional conferences.
Peter Vegso stated, "The acquisition of the Institute for Integral Development is a natural fit for our conference division (U.S. Journal Training, Inc.). We will be the best single national and regional resource for the addictions related industry, offering professional training, continuing education credits, professional addiction/recovery and health related books, COUNSELOR Magazine, and web communication.”
Dan Barmettler, who will continue as Institute Director, was equally enthusiastic about the merger of resources. "I am excited to be joining forces with U.S. Journal Training. In addition to our mutual track records in the field and our access to the finest faculty, we will increase our reach in the realm of addictions education, bringing more services to more professionals".
The merger between USJT and the Institute takes effect in 2008 with nine conferences across the United States. Each will offer Continuing Education Credits in Addictions Counseling, Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, School Counseling, Courts & Corrections, and Registered Nursing.
